Heavy Duty Multi-Axis Positioning System for Large-Scale Testing
ETS‑Lindgren’s Model 2122 Heavy Duty Multi-Axis Positioning System (MAPS) is designed to provide smooth rotation of a test object in both theta and phi axes. Typically the Model 2122 is used in systems that measure spherical antenna patterns and total effective radiated power of wireless devices, with MAPS units currently in operation at several CATL labs.
The MAPS includes a 160 cm (63 in) diameter circular wood deck bolted onto a motorised turntable. It is equipped with two motor bases, one to control each rotational axis, and operates using 208–230 VAC single phase 50 or 60 Hz. The angular accuracy is guaranteed within ±0.5° for the Heavy Duty Phi axis.
