Some devices contain radiation-hardened components and/or other features that provide a level of radiation tolerance suitable for harsh space applications.
Micropac’s Optoelectronics Division offers the broadest line of standard high-reliability optocouplers, and optoelectronic components available today. We provide a full line of optocouplers and other optoelectronic components processed to JAN through JANS level.
Micropac provides ruggedized Hall Effect proximity sensors and Optoelectronic positioning and proximity sensors for the aerospace market. Screening can be provided. Standard, high-temperature, and custom hermetic Hall Effect Sensors are available. Working with industry partners to provide application-specific custom sensors, these sensors are suitable for harsh environments and high-reliability applications.
The company was founded in 1963 by William W. Horsman first known as Farsi Industries to provide contract engineering services, manufactured electronic exercisers, and printed circuit boards. In 1974, Nicholas Nadolsky and Heinz-Werner Hempel obtained the company. Micropac Industries Inc. was born. Today, the company, headed by CEO Mark King, continues to evolve as the market changes.
