GPS Antenna Distributor (4-port, external)
The GPSAV4 redistributes a signal from a Meinberg GPS antenna/converter unit to four outputs, which in turn are connected to up to four Meinberg GPS receivers. The signal distributor is fitted with an internal amplifier to minimise signal attenuation.
Please note, the direct use or connection of GNSS L1 components is not possible.
The GPSAV4 is supplied with power via the GPS receiver connected to output connector 1. This output must therefore always be enabled; the others can be left disabled as necessary.
The signal distributor is in a plastic housing fitted with five standard type N input and output connectors.
Multiple GPSAV4s can be connected in a cascaded structure (up to a maximum of three levels).

The integrated amplifier avoids distribution dissipations. The GPS receiver connected to the output no.1 is used to supply power to the GPSAV4, so this output has to be connected steadily while the others can be left unconnected.
The distributor is installed in a plastic case with five type-N female connectors for input and outputs. It's possible to build up a two or three level cascade by using Meinberg antenna distributors. |
