The NLS product lines are used in a wide range of installations in harsh environments including air, land, and sea vehicles, ground control stations, oil field services, and transportation. Many models are certified or built to military compliance standards.

Industrial monitors

Rugged industrial computer monitors designed for the long-term durability and reliability required of equipment operating 24/7 in harsh industrial environments. These cost-effective display solutions are ideal for when your application does not require the expense of the harshest MIL-STD testing.

Rugged military displays

Rack and panel mount display units that feature a front mounting bezel with through-holes or captive hardware for customer installation. The mounting bezel of rack mount units conforms to rigid ANSI/EIA/RETMA industry standards in width: 19” or 24”, height: specified in 1.75” (1U) increments, and the mounting hole locations which are limited to the two sides of the bezel in a prescribed spacing pattern. Panel mount units satisfy customer requirements but do not meet industry rack mount standards.

Freestanding and VESA LCD displays

Mil-spec rugged freestanding VESA LCD display monitors feature an industry-standard square or rectangular pattern of captive hardware that permits the unit to be installed on walls and ceilings, articulating arms, poles, and desktops using a wide selection of commercially available stands, brackets, and other hardware adhering to the VESA mounting standard.

Rugged military rackslide pull-out and KVM monitors

All NLS RFT and CSC models are designed for compact 1U, 2U or 3U installation in 19” ANSI/EIA standard equipment racks or portable transit cases using rackslides. For deployment, the units are pulled out of the rack on the rackslides to a pre-designated mechanical stop and the LCD is lifted up into place for use. RFT and CSC models include integrated KVMs with LCD, keyboard and mouse pointer devices, KVMs with integrated CAT5 Switch or KVM over IP function and display-only models.

Smart computer displays

Multi-function, Panel PCs, Smart Displays are LCD displays incorporating processing power beyond that required to support the display of incoming video alone. NLS offers three styles of Smart Displays:

• Panel PCs - which are LCDS with integrated single board computers running under Windows or Linux operating systems
• Multi-Function Displays - which feature programmable bezel buttons operating under proprietary MCU/firmware control
• Backplane Workstations - designed around a plug-in backplane architecture permitting great flexibility for incorporating different computers and other boards

Multi-head displays

NLS is an industry pioneer and leader in rugged military dual/triple LCD monitor display products. Multi-Head designs are engineered to permit the easy addition of special features and options such as touchscreens, special keyboards, pointing devices, power supplies and Hi-Brite LCDs for sunlight readability.
