SHARQ Instruments

About SHARQ Instruments
SHARQ Instruments is a high-tech company founded in 2021 by scientists specialising in ultracold atomic physics, quantum computing, and quantum metrology. Frustrated by the lack of suitable equipment on the market, the team developed their own solutions, forming the basis of SHARQ Instruments.
Optical Frequency References
SHARQ’s LFR Series optical frequency references provide exceptional accuracy and stability, essential for applications such as optical frequency measurements, calibration, quantum communication, interferometry, and ranging. These compact and lightweight devices are available at multiple wavelengths, making them ideal for space-constrained applications.
Key Models:
-
LFR-1532 – Provides a wavelength of 1532.83041 nm with excellent absolute accuracy and stability. Features include short warm-up times (<1 minute), automatic frequency locking and relocking, adjustable optical output power, and an OEM version for easy system integration.
-
LFR-1312 – Offers a wavelength of 1312.5910 nm with similar high-accuracy features, short warm-up times, automatic frequency locking and relocking, adjustable optical output power, and an OEM version.
Ultralow-Noise Electronics
The company also supplies a range of ultralow-noise electronic devices tailored for quantum R&D. These include multichannel, ultralow-noise bipolar current sources, high-voltage piezo drivers, and high-gain, high-bandwidth photodetectors. Products are designed to be low-noise, compact, and easily integrable, with most available in OEM versions for seamless integration into larger systems.
Key Product:
-
Bipolar Current Sources (BCS Series) – Deliver very low current noise (10 ppb/√Hz at 10 Hz), up to 8 channels, and maximum currents of up to 1 A per channel (customisable). Features include 16-bit resolution setpoints and availability in OEM versions.
SHARQ Instruments’ products are engineered to meet the rigorous demands of quantum technology and metrology, offering high performance, reliability, and compact design. Their commitment to customisation ensures solutions can be tailored to specific research needs.
