Chroma 8000 EVSE ATS - AC & DC EV Charger Test System

Customised test system based on the Chroma 8000 ATS, specialising in the verification of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) across both AC and DC charging architectures.

The open platform programmes test items for functional and communication-protocol verification, loads real charging power curves from a range of vehicle models, and supports multi-coupler testing across global charging interfaces.

With an integrated bidirectional power supply, the system also covers V2L, V2H and V2G testing - making it suited to charger suppliers, automakers and certification bodies validating performance against international standards.

System Components:

The 8000 ATS is built from configurable modules to match AC, DC or combined test programmes:

  • AC EVSE ATS: Tests AC charging stations against a vehicle's on-board charger (OBC), with configurable power output and communication interfaces
  • AC EVSE Control Unit: Simulates the AC charging circuit and fault conditions; supports SAE J1772, IEC 62196 and GB/T 20234 couplers, with an optional NACS fixture
  • DC EVSE ATS: High-power DC fast-charging test platform with high-specification power electronics and region-compatible charging interfaces
  • CCS, NACS, GB/T & ChaoJi EV Communication Simulator (80713 & 80701): Vehicle-side simulation with PLC (ISO 15118, DIN 70122) and CAN (GB/T 27930) communication and multi-EV scenarios
  • DC CHAdeMO EV Simulator: EV-side simulation for CHAdeMO 0.9–3.0, with optional V2H testing and CAN message monitoring
  • DC EVSE & EV Control Unit (2-in-1): Switches between EVSE functional testing and EV compatibility testing; supports GB/T 2015+, ChaoJi and ChaoJi V2X with the 80701
  • Mobile EVSE Test Solutions: Customised mobile systems for on-site maintenance and inspection of deployed charging stations
