The LOCOSYS LS26030-2RE and LS26031-2RE are GPS modules incorporated into a PCIe full-mini card or PCIe half-mini card. These GPS modules use a MediaTek GPS chip (MT3337E) and can provide superior sensitivity and performance in urban areas and dense foliage environments.
The USB interface makes these modules easy to integrate into a laptop. These modules support self-generate orbit prediction, EASYTM, to achieve a faster cold start and warm start. The EASYTM requires no need of both network assistance or host CPU intervention. The prediction is valid for up to 3 days and updates automatically from time to time when the GPS module is powered on and satellites are available.
