LS2003D-2RE

The LOCOSYS LS2003D-2RE is a complete standalone GPS smart antenna module which includes an embedded patch antenna and GPS receiver circuit. The module's functionality uses a MediaTek GPS ROM chip (MT3337E) and can acquire many satellites at a single time whilst providing fast time-to-first-fix and low power consumption. Ideal for providing superior sensitivity and performance even in urban areas and dense foliage environments.

This module supports self-generated orbit prediction (EASY^TM) to achieve a faster cold start and warm start. EASY^TM requires no network assistance or host CPU intervention. The prediction is valid for up to 3 days and updates automatically from time to time when the GPS module is powered on and satellites are available.

This module is easy to install without an RF connector and coaxial cable that are needed in separate GPS active antennas. Designed to reduce cost and size, this can help speed up time to market by eliminating R&D efforts on RF matching and stability between separate GPS antennas and modules. This module can be directly powered by a lithium battery without any external voltage regulars. Therefore, LS2003D-2RE is an excellent choice for small, slim devices.
