VORAGO Technologies and APC Technology Group are heading to RADECS 2024
Meet our European team at RADECS from 16th to 20th September on Booth 23
The RADiation Effects on Components and Systems (RADECS) Conference is an annual European scientific and industrial forum on radiation and its effect on electronics and photonics materials, devices and systems. Head of Sales, Matteo Magnifico will be representing APC Technology Group and VORAGO Technologies at the event, discussing VORAGO's radiation-hardened and radiation-tolerant microcontrollers and microprocessors designed for demanding Aerospace, Defence and Industrial projects. VORAGO's HARDSIL®-based products are an ideal solution for applications requiring unique, highly reliable semiconductor solutions to withstand these harsh environments.
The annual RADECS conference is organised by the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), on behalf of the RADECS Association. Every year, the conference and exhibition attracts hundreds of scientists and engineers from all over the world who exchange the latest advances on:
- Basic mechanisms of radiation effects, including Total Non-Ionizing Dose (TNID) and effects on materials
- Radiation effects on devices and integrated circuits
- Radiation environments
- Radiation test facilities and dosimetry
- Radiation hardening techniques (device, board and system level)
- Radiation hardness assurance
- Radiation effects on photonics, optoelectronics and sensors
Meeting The Evolving Needs of Space Applications
As the space industry continues to develop at pace, the need for rad-hard technology has increased exponentially. VORAGO has been at the forefront of radiation-hardening for 20 years and continues to provide innovative products to meet the evolving demands of the Aerospace and Defence industries.
Most recently, VORAGO introduced the VA7230 Edge Computing Microprocessor. The VA7230 is the first Arm®-based microprocessor (MPU) with an embedded graphics processor (GPU) targeted at space applications. NewSpace, as many refer to it, has accelerated the deployment of edge processing workloads, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), image processing and advanced networking, typically found in the commercial sectors. The VA7230 provides exceptional computational power for these on-board computing tasks.
In addition to VORAGO, APC partners with leading manufacturers from around the world to offer customers the latest technologies for mission-critical success in space flight, outer space, NewSpace and ground station applications. With a long heritage working as a trusted partner to over 100 specialist manufacturers, our team of technical sales and support experts offer advice and guidance to meet your demanding project requirements. As an AS9120 accredited distributor, APC has solutions for a wide range of space flight and ground station applications, including:
- Space
- NewSpace
- Up and Downstream projects
- AI and on-board high-level data processing
- Power control, protection and distribution systems
- Communications
- Radiation simulation and testing
If you are heading to RADECS 2024, be sure to meet Matteo at Booth 23 to discuss how APC can support your Aerospace, Defence and Industrial projects.
