HUMMEL Ex cable glands offer explosion protection for electrical equipment in hazardous areas

Hummel's Ex cable glands are designed for use on electrical equipment in hazardous areas in accordance with EN 60079-0, EN 60079-1 and EN 60079-7. HUMMEL's explosion-proof cable glands are available in a variety of finishes and materials for varying levels of protection.

Designed for increased safety, these cable glands prevent the occurrence of sparks or arcs which could lead to an explosion.

Ex d

With flameproof enclosures, Ex d glands are able to withstand the explosion pressure inside the housing and prevent transmission to the outside.

Ex t

With dust explosion protection, these cable glands have an increased tightness that reliably prevents dust from entering an enclosure.

HUMMEL offers Ex cable glands in plastic (glass fibre reinforced polyamide), brass and stainless steel. The range includes glands with metric, PG and NPT threads. In addition to the standard sealing inserts, there are also inserts for flat cables or multi-inserts for the insertion of several cables with one cable gland. Ex cable glands with EMC protection are also available.
