The IRIS Space Camera System from 3D PLUS offers standard products targeting a wide range of imaging applications in space environments.

Based on standard CASPEX 4 Megapixel camera heads from 3D PLUS, the IRIS family provides a full camera solution, combining the sensor and its electronics with space-grade optical lens assemblies and mechanical casings suitable for space environments.

Designed for Space

IRIS Space Cameras embed a standard CASPEX 4 Mpx camera head with a standard FPGA design providing a SpaceWire Interface to the user. The camera head is shielded by a 5mm thick aluminium standard casing, providing additional radiation shielding to the electronics, as well as an efficient mechanical and thermal interface to the spacecraft. Several standard optical assemblies are available to equip the camera to target a wide range of applications.

Suitable for a wide range of space applications

IRIS Space Cameras are suitable for multiple space applications such as scientific imaging, platform and payload monitoring, startracking or navigation applications. They have already been selected for multiple missions covering these applications.

The design of IRIS Cameras (especially the camera heads) makes them suitable for use in LEO, GEO or deep-space missions.
