EFT/Burst Generator, Verified According To The IEC/EN 61000-4-4 Standard
Measurements of individual impulse parameters are performed using a termination to match the EFT/Burst generator output impedance (50 Ohm) and a voltage divider to reduce the impulse level so it can be displayed on commercial oscilloscopes.
The 50 Ohm attenuator, PAT 50A, is to match the latest standard requirements. An oscilloscope with a minimum 400 MHz bandwidth is required to properly display the EFT impulse. The PAT attenuator series has been developed in response to the latest IEC/EN 61000-4-4, which extends the verification requirement to also include impulse measurement using a 1 kOhm load. The PAT 1000 meets the latest standards requirements of 1000 Ohms in parallel with 6 pF.
