For EMC Tests Requiring AC Magnetic Fields

Power frequency magnetic fields are generated by AC current flowing in conductors. The normal 50/60 Hz power cord is a good example. The Haefely MAG 1000 has a 1 m x 1 m square and contains an internal power supply making this system a stand-alone solution.

Please note: magnetic fields may interfere with equipment operated in close proximity. Typically EUTs are equipment which includes magnetic sensitive components.

Key Features

• Can be used for both short duration and continuous mode testing up to 1000 A/m
• Fully compliant with IEC/EN 61000-4-8
• The magnetic field strength is defined at the center of the coil with 3 dB variation
• Coil dimensions define the maximum EUT size as being 0.6 m x 0.6 m x 0.5 m
• Can be used for both vertical and horizontal plane testing, by simply rotating the coil antenna in its mounting on the included stand
