Acustek Launches SigDNA RF Analysis Platform Built on the Durabook U11I - Supplied by APC

Acustek has launched SigDNA, a unified RF analysis and TSCM platform running on the Durabook U11I fully rugged tablet, supplied by APC (now Milexia UK)

Acustek, a global developer and manufacturer specialising in technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) have launched SigDNA, a unified RF analysis and TSCM platform that brings WiFi, Bluetooth/BLE, cellular (2G–5G NR), wideband sweep, IoT protocol scanning, broadcast demodulation and Angle of Arrival/Direction Finding together in a single system architecture. It was first demonstrated publicly at ISS World Asia in Singapore in September 2026.

Beyond detection

For counter-surveillance teams, detection has never been the difficult part. A wideband sweep or Bluetooth scan will always return results. The harder task is determining which of those signals represents a genuine threat, classifying it and locating the device physically transmitting.

SigDNA is built around that problem, taking operators through the full investigative workflow from signal detection, device identification, localisation and physical convergence, rather than stopping at the point of detection.

The platform brings multiple RF disciplines together in a single system architecture, including:

  • WiFi, Bluetooth/BLE and cellular (2G–5G NR) scanning
  • Wideband sweep across 30 MHz to 11 GHz
  • IoT protocol scanning and broadcast demodulation
  • Angle of Arrival and Direction Finding
  • Support for Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 7, 5G NR and RF fingerprinting

The Durabook U11I platform

Counter-surveillance workplaces demand computing hardware that commercial devices are not built to meet, such as operations in vehicles, unfamiliar buildings, and conditions that consumer equipment will not survive. RF analysis adds another requirement - the host machine must not compromise the measurements being taken.

This is where Durabook's U11I is particularly well suited to the application. The U11I is certified to MIL-STD-461G, the military standard covering conducted and radiated electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility and its fanless design eliminates moving parts as a source of interference, noise and vibration. For a system whose purpose is identifying faint RF signals, a platform that keeps its own electromagnetic noise under control is a meaningful advantage rather than a specification detail.

Durabook U11I Key features:

  • MIL-STD-810H certification across drop, shock, vibration, rain, dust, altitude, humidity, salt fog and temperature shock
  • IP66 ingress protection and a magnesium alloy chassis, tested to a 6ft drop across 26 faces
  • 12th Generation Intel Core i5-1230U or i7-1250U vPro processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics
  • 11.6" FHD display with 10-point capacitive multi-touch and selectable finger, glove, water and stylus modes

Supporting the project

As Durabook’s UK technical distribution partner, APC (now Milexia UK) supported the SigDNA project with the supply of Durabook U11I rugged tablets. However, the role of our rugged computing team goes beyond simply providing hardware. Our specialists work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and support configuration, customisation and integration around the wider application.

Projects such as SigDNA demonstrate the value of combining close manufacturer relationships with practical technical expertise, helping specialist engineering teams access not only the right equipment, but solutions aligned to the specific requirements of their project.

Congratulations to everyone at Acustek on the launch and thank you to Durabook for a platform that stands up to what this application asks of it. We look forward to seeing where SigDNA goes next.
