Meinberg announces mbgNMS, a new Network Management System
Meinberg is proud to announce mbgNMS, a cloud-based Network Management System, tailored specially to the needs of users of Meinberg time synchronisation solutions.
Developed jointly with Belgium-based Skyline Communications on the basis of their DataMiner Network Management System, this centralised platform automatically detects, provisions and monitors all your Meinberg applications. Rapidly deployable and highly scalable, mbgNMS is configured out of the box to automatically discover Meinberg devices with a simple network scan.
Client software installable on a PC provides a powerful and detailed interface for monitoring and managing your Meinberg device network, while a streamlined web-based interface provides an intuitive, portable, streamlined solution for the most important tasks and functions.
mbgNMS is capable of so much more than just monitoring and managing network devices and network services at the most basic level. It is specially designed to mine valuable data from your networked Meinberg devices so that you can monitor antenna signals, clock synchronicity, CPU load, and memory usage, and issue trend reports or define alarms based on this data to alert personnel to situations requiring attention.
It can be used to simplify tasks such as user account management by synchronising user account details across multiple Meinberg devices or facilitate the roll-out of device firmware updates or configuration changes to multiple networked units. It provides end-to-end control and oversight for your entire Meinberg time synchronisation network.
mbgNMS will revolutionise the way large-scale installations with multiple time servers manage their time synchronisation infrastructure. No more scouring through masses of server backends to identify a single broken antenna cable.
