3.5 GHz Active Probe

Tektronix low-voltage single-ended probes are typically used for measuring high-speed, ground-referenced signals up to 12 V. These low-voltage probes are the best choice for making measurements on high-impedance, high-frequency circuit elements which require minimal probe loading. Users should select probes with a low input capacitance specification (~1 pF) to minimise the probe’s loading effect on the circuit. A probe with lower input capacitance will offer higher input impedance at higher frequencies.

Tektronix TAP2500, TAP3500 and TAP4000 Single-ended Active FET offer:

  • Bandwidth up to 4 GHz

Specifically designed for use and direct connection to oscilloscopes with the TekVPI™ probe interface, the TAP2500, TAP3500 and TAP4000 Active FET probes achieve high-speed signal acquisition and measurement fidelity by solving three traditional problems:

  • Lower DUT loading effects with ≤0.8 pF input capacitance and 40 kΩ input resistance
  • Versatile DUT connectivity for attaching to small SMDs
  • Preserves instrument bandwidth at the probe tip for up to 3.5 GHz oscilloscopes
