Astrodyne TDI, a global developer and manufacturer of power conversion and EMI/EMC solutions, introduces their latest innovation, the ASXMicro - a compact multi-output solution delivering up to 1200W of power. With cutting-edge high-speed digital control and isolated outputs, this power solution is specifically designed for Medical and Semiconductor applications, guaranteeing precise and dependable performance.

Compact in size, the ASXMicro is a DC converter assembly crafted to seamlessly fit within a 1U height dimension, with a width like Astrodyne's MercuryFlex platform. Each assembly can house up to 5 ASM202 converters operating from an AC or DC input, providing a 20ms hold up at 240W per ASM202 converter.

The ASXMicro incorporates high-speed digital control for unmatched precision and reliability. This advanced technology empowers users with real-time system monitoring and control capabilities. Additionally, the ASXMicro utilises a CANBUS interface for easy access to vital system data and alerts, allowing for proactive maintenance and optimising system uptime.

The ASXMicro is meticulously engineered to meet the stringent safety and performance standards of the medical and semiconductor sectors. It conforms to standards like EN61000-4-4 1995 for Electrical Fast Transient/Burst (Severity Level 3), EN61000-4-5 1995 for Surge (Severity Level 4), SEMI F47-0706 Criteria A, EMI: CISPR 11 Class A Group 1 2004, EN/IEC/UL62368-1/A11:2017, EN/IEC/UL60601-1 3rd Edition, and proudly carries the CE Mark.

Multiple Output Options and Customisation

The ASXMicro provides fixed output voltages that are galvanically isolated from each other and protective earth ground. It can operate with 80-264 VAC input voltage at 50-60Hz single phase or 120-380 VDC. The ASXMicro offers up to 5 different output options, which include 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 48V, and 56V. Each output has a capacity of delivering up to 240W of power. 

Unmatched Power and Control

Additionally, the ASXMicro features state-of-the-art over-voltage shutdown circuitry to safeguard outputs from voltage spikes and automatic electronic current limit circuitry to protect against overloading, ensuring stable operation. Internal thermal monitoring circuits closely monitor temperatures and trigger shutdown if limits are exceeded, automatically restarting once temperatures normalise.

Astrodyne TDI ASM202 Series

240W High Power Density Medical & Industrial Grade Power Supplies

Surpassing its predecessor, the ASM201, this upgraded version offers enhanced features and performance. The ASM202 series of power supplies features a high-power-density design tailored for various applications and approved for both AC and DC input across medical and industrial environments.

The ASM202 series of power supplies have undergone rigorous testing and meet strict safety standards such as IEC 60601-1 3rd Ed, Amendment 1, IEC 62368-1, and CSA C22.2 CB Scheme, as well as EMC standards EN60601-1-2, 4th Ed, Class B, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility. Featuring BF Leakage Current and 2 MOPP Isolation, these power supplies prioritise safety, particularly for medical applications. 

Offering a range of DC outputs from 12V to 56V, the ASM202 series power supplies cater to diverse voltage requirements with precision and reliability. They can operate seamlessly in temperatures from -40°C to +55°C under a full 240W load with fan cooling, and -40°C to +55°C under a 140W load with convection cooling and voltages. Furthermore, Astrodyne's ASM202 series power supplies can handle up to +85°C at reduced load, ensuring reliable performance in various operating conditions.
