Miniature MLMS Series frequency synthesisers now available with single +5 volt supply
MLMS-Series Frequency Synthesisers covering 250 MHz to 32 GHz announces the production release of synthesisers that operate off a single + 5 Vdc supply.
Standard frequency models are available covering 250 MHz to 6 GHz, 2 to 8 GHz, 4 to 10 GHz, 6 to 13 GHz, 8 to 20 GHz and 28 to 32 GHz. Special customer defined frequency ranges within the entire frequency range are available on special order.
This series of frequency synthesisers have been designed in a miniature package that will fit within a single slot PXI chassis. Dimensions are 2.5” x 2.5” x .65” tall. Units come with a 9-pin molex connector for all input voltages and signals as well as a standard USB mini-b connector.
MLMS Series Features
- Superior Phase Noise
- 1 kHz Step Size
- External or Internal Reference
- Fits in a Single Slot PXI
- 5 Line Serial & USB Control
- Single, +5VDC Power Supply Option
Applications of the MLMS Series include wideband receivers, automated test systems, telecom, satcom, UAV’s and drones and a variety of military and commercial test applications.
This product is designed for a 0 to 60 Degree C environment and should not be subjected to humidity >95%. Using proper ESD handling procedures, allow for a proper heat-sink able to dissipate the total wattage/heat generated at the highest frequency setting of the unit. Verify that all external RF/microwave cables and components connected to the unit are in good working condition.
The MLMS can be configured to phase lock to an external reference signal in the 1 - 200 MHz range. Two types of interface come as standard: USB for trouble-free connection to a personal computer and a 5-wire serial interface for use in a customer's system. Many other configurations and options are available, contact APC's specialist RF and Microwave team for details, pricing and expert technical guidance.
