Cornell Dubilier (CDE) Surface Mount Capacitors, or SMD or SMT capacitors, are electrical components designed for automation assembly processes. CDE Surface Mount Capacitors are commonly used to reduce signal noise and respond quickly to changes in voltage. Due to their small size and low cost, they have become increasingly popular in a wide range of modern circuit designs.
Often SMD electrolytic capacitors are marked with the value and working voltage. There are two basic methods used, one is to include their value in microfarads, µF, and the other is to use a code.
