Hioki Corporation is proud to announce the launch of its Memory HiCorder MR8848. With robust housing, isolated inputs, and advanced real-time recording capabilities, the MR8848 is designed for engineers who need reliable, precision measurements—even in the harshest field conditions.
The MR8848 succeeds the MR8847A, retaining its trusted form factor and measurement performance while integrating updates that meet today’s fieldwork demands. The new MR8848 combines long-term recording capacity with high-speed sampling and supports simultaneous measurement of voltage, current, temperature, pressure, and other physical parameters—making it a versatile tool for infrastructure operators worldwide.
Hioki MR8848 Key Features
Ruggedised for Harsh Environments - Equipped with protectors and a reinforced enclosure, the MR8848 is drop-resistant—ideal for power plants, rail depots, and outdoor substations.
Long-Duration Waveform Recording with Real-Time Saving - By combining a large-capacity 1 TB SSD (U8334) with the Direct Write to Storage option (MR9001), engineers can capture long-duration waveform data continuously, perfect for rail vehicle tests or UPS operation evaluations.
Safe, Isolated, Multi-Channel Measurements - Unlike oscilloscopes, the MR8848 offers channel-to-channel isolation, allowing safe simultaneous measurement across systems with different grounds (e.g., power and signal lines), helping prevent short circuits.
Field Printing with Tamper-Proof Output - For on-site reporting, an optional built-in printer (U8351) provides tamper-proof records—useful for regulated environments and maintenance documentation.
An Ideal Solution for Critical Infrastructure

Building on the proven reliability of the MR8847A, the MR8848 introduces key upgrades, including LAN 1000 BASE-T, USB 3.0, SSD storage up to 1 TB, and optional real-time saving (additional function the Direct Write to Storage MR9001-01 and factory option U8334)—making it even more suited for extended, high-speed measurement in demanding field conditions.
