Wavecontrol Announce The SMP3 Field Strength Meter for EMF Exposure

Introducing the new Wavecontrol SMP3 EMF Field Meter

Wavecontrol's new SMP3 advanced field strength meter.

3 Instruments in 1 - DC Field Measurements, Spectrum Analysis up to 10 MHz and Broadband Measurements up to 60 GHz

Wavecontrol has extended its portfolio of EMF meters by introducing the new SMP3 – an upgrade from its flagship SMP2 EMF Meter. Including all the strengths and capabilities of the previous model, the SMP3 offers unique features not currently available to users via existing EMF meters on the market.

The new Wavecontrol SMP3 includes the capability of measuring EMF using the Weighted Peak method up to 10 MHz, to fully comply with ICNIRP 2010 and other international standards requirements for low-frequency fields that provoke electrostimulation effects (non-thermal). Reaching 10 MHz closes a frequency gap not covered by existing EMF meters.

Along with the advanced features and capabilities the SMP3 has to offer, Wavecontrol has combined both advanced design and innovative technology. The SMP3 features SMP3-Streamer software, allowing users to test EMF exposure according to the latest automotive standards.

BROADBAND MEASUREMENTS

From DC to 60 GHz (depending on probe)

The Wavecontrol SMP3 is the only device that offers genuine 3-in-1 functionalities. Broadband measurements (DC to 60 GHz), frequency spectrum analysis (DC to 10 MHz) and static field measurements. The SMP3 field meter provides the most advanced features and technology on the market, designed for users who need high-quality measurements, ease of use and reliable reporting tools.

While the SMP2 is capable of detecting spectrum analysis up to 400 kHz, the latest SMP3 model can measure up to 10 MHz. Its technology efficiently monitors the electromagnetic field radiating from an item or within a specific area e.g. next-generation telecommunication systems, including 5G networks, TV, radio, cellular or any other telecommunication antenna.

The Wavecontrol SMP3 complies with assessments according to international standards- EU Directive 2013/35, ICNIRP, IEC, EN, IEEE, SC6, etc. All limits are embedded in a single meter. This device is fully packed with features, such as the display of results in RMS and peak values, digital output for real-time external measurements, weighted peak method (WPM) for automatic and real-time comparison with limits, special auto-gain function for peak detection (indispensable for procedures such as welding), and more.
